공연정보
세멜레는 그리스 신화를 바탕으로 하는 헨델의 오라토리오입니다. 오페라로 손색없는 스토리 전개와 극적인 요소로 현재에도 무대에 올려져 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 이러한 세멜레를 통해 헨델의 두 가지의 드라마틱한 감성이 궁금해졌습니다.
첫 번째는 가사에 따라 움직이는 선율입니다. 인물의 감정을 전달하는 직접적인 표현도구인 ‘가사’를 걷어냈습니다. 더 명확하게 들려지는 선율을 기악으로 시도했을 때 얼마만큼 감정의 표현이 가능할지 시도해보고자 합니다.
두 번째는 오케스트라의 사운드입니다. 무대 아래가 아닌 무대 위에서 선율과 동등한 위치에서 선율의 감성을 함께 합니다. 보여지는 가사를 통해 듣게 되어지는 기악적 세멜레의 사운드, 그 이야기에 초대합니다.
